MaAnt Sky Eye T3 Trinocular Microscope

Hours at a microscope take a toll on the neck. The MaAnt Sky Eye T3 tilts its eyepieces at 45° so you can sit more upright through long micro-soldering work.

It's a trinocular stereo microscope with 6.5–58X continuous zoom, WF10X/23 mm wide-angle eyepieces, a multi-coated objective and a 26-LED adjustable ring light. Coarse and fine focus help with precision, and the height-adjustable stand leaves room for tools and boards. The shipping weight is 5.8 kg.

When the T3 helps

• Damaged CPU or BGA joints that need reballing.

• Broken traces needing jumper wire.

• Cracked joints on charging ports.

• Recording faults through a camera on the third port.

What's in the box

The kit includes the microscope, a pair of eye shields (listed as 'blindfold') and the light source. A camera and screen aren't included; add one through the trinocular port.

Set the eyepiece spacing to your eyes and focus at low zoom first. Then zoom in and use the fine focus. Give the eyepieces a quick wipe with a lens cloth before each session, and cover the microscope when you leave the bench.
