Details
Apple launched the second-generation Apple Watch SE in September 2022 as the more affordable way into the Apple Watch line, and it became a lot of people's first smartwatch, including plenty of kids and teenagers. That's one reason so many arrive at repair shops with a cracked or blank screen: a watch meets door frames, desks and playground railings far more often than a phone does.
This is the complete OLED screen assembly for the Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) in the 40mm case size. The front glass, touch layer and 324 × 394-pixel Retina LTPO OLED panel come as one unit, which is how this watch is repaired; the glass isn't replaced on its own. It fits the 40mm models A2722 (GPS) and A2725, A2726 and A2855 (GPS + Cellular). The 44mm SE 2 uses a larger screen and won't fit.
When the screen needs replacing
Cracked or shattered glass after a knock against a door frame or desk.
A black screen while the watch still vibrates, chimes or shows up on the iPhone.
Touch that is dead, patchy or registers ghost taps.
Lines, flicker or dark spots in the picture after a drop.
Which quality to choose
OEM Pull is an original Apple display taken from another watch in working order. OEM Refurb is an original Apple panel that has been refurbished, typically with new front glass. Both start from Apple's own OLED panel rather than a third-party copy, and the price gap between them is small, so many shops simply choose whichever is in stock.
The screen is held by adhesive and connects to the board below with short flex cables. Open it slowly with gentle heat and a thin blade, and don't lift it further than the cables allow. Use new display adhesive when you close the watch; water resistance after a screen repair can't be guaranteed.
With a new display fitted, a first Apple Watch is back on the wrist, tracking workouts and showing notifications as it did before the accident.

Questions
Will this fit the 44mm SE 2 or the first-generation SE?
It doesn't fit the 44mm SE 2, which needs a larger screen. It's listed only for the 40mm SE 2nd generation; we haven't confirmed fit on the first-generation SE (2020), so we don't recommend it for that model.
How do I find my watch's model number?
On the paired iPhone, open the Watch app, go to General > About and tap the Model field to show the A-number (for example A2722).
What's the difference between OEM Pull and OEM Refurb?
OEM Pull is an original Apple screen removed from another working watch. OEM Refurb is an original Apple panel that has been refurbished, usually with new front glass.
Is the glass sold separately?
No. The SE 2 screen is repaired as a complete assembly, so the glass, touch layer and OLED panel are replaced together.
