Every shop has a board that defeats its usual iron: a thick laptop ground plane or a big shield that won't let go. The SUGON T3602 is the heavyweight of this SUGON range at 240 W, with a 100 to 450°C (212 to 842°F) range.
The listing describes digital temperature control, interchangeable tips, an ergonomic grip and auto sleep that wakes when you pick the iron up. It doesn't list the voltage, plug, tip system or contents.
Large shield frames stuck with old solder.
Thick ground planes that keep joints cold.
Damaged DC jacks with heavy pins.
Faint joints on multi-layer laptop boards.
More wattage means faster recovery, not a hotter setting. Keep the temperature moderate, use a broad tip, and protect nearby plastic parts with heat tape. Short, confident contact gives better joints than a long dwell, and preheating the board from below cuts the time even further.
For phone micro soldering, a small cartridge station is still the better tool; the T3602 is for the jobs that wear smaller irons out.
