Relife RL-014E UV Curing Fan

Halfway through a jumper repair you need to cool the joint, clear the flux smoke, then cure the solder mask, and every one of those normally means another tool. The Relife RL-014E combines a UV curing light and a fan in one rechargeable unit.

It has dual UV LEDs at 365 to 395 nm, a fan with three speeds for cooling and pulling smoke away, and a dust display function. It's rated at 6 W peak, runs on a built-in battery and charges over Type-C, with one-button control.

When it's useful

• A repaired trace that needs UV solder mask cured.

• Flux smoke drifting into your face while soldering.

• A hot board that should cool before you handle it.

• Dust on a board that is hard to see before sealing.

Tips

Apply a thin layer of mask and cure it in short bursts. Use the low fan speed during soldering so it doesn't cool the joint too fast. Don't look at the UV light directly.

Charge it between jobs so it's ready, and wipe flux off the lens and fan grille.
