iPhone 16 Pro Power Button Flex Cable

The right edge of an iPhone 16 Pro is busy: the side button sits there alongside the Camera Control, and both get handled constantly. When the side button stops behaving, the fault can sit in the cap, the bracket or the flex, and only the last one needs this part.

This aftermarket power button flex cable fits the iPhone 16 Pro and replaces the switch and cable behind the side button. The listing doesn't say it covers the Camera Control or Action button, so treat it as the side button flex only.

Separating the causes

A cap that feels gritty, stiff or crooked points to debris or a dented frame. A button that worked until the phone was opened points to a disturbed connector or a nicked cable. If the cap moves freely, the connector is seated and the button still does nothing, misses presses or needs a firm push, the switch on the flex has failed. Drops on that edge and liquid exposure are the common causes outside the workshop.

Warm the adhesive before lifting the old flex, and keep clear of the neighboring cables.

Test lock, wake, Siri and the Apple Pay double-click before closing. If all four respond on a light press, the switch is good.
