Details

Your iPhone 12 Pro Max still works fine, apart from charging: it only takes power with the plug held at an angle, or the phone shows charging and then stops. A worn Lightning port flex is the most common reason, and on this model there's a real choice to make about which version to buy.

Built for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, this flex replaces the Lightning port along with the charging, data and bottom-microphone lines. The listing sells it as Original New or Original Pull in Pacific Blue, Gold, Silver and Graphite.

When the 12 Pro Max port flex needs replacing

Besides angle-sensitive charging, look for a plug that no longer clicks in, a computer that won't recognize the phone, corrosion in the port after liquid exposure, and recordings that sound faint because the bottom microphone is on this flex. Clean the port and try a second cable before you order.

On this model the price gap between the two qualities is larger than on the smaller iPhone 12 phones, so Original Pull is the budget choice and Original New is for a customer who wants an unused part.

After fitting, check wired charging, a data connection and the bottom microphone, and pick the color that matches the frame.

Questions

Which quality should I pick?

The listing has Original New and Original Pull options. Original New is unused; Original Pull was taken from another iPhone 12 Pro Max and is the lower-cost choice.

Does the color matter?

Yes, for looks. The flex is sold in the iPhone 12 Pro Max finishes, so pick the one that matches your phone.

Will it fit the iPhone 12 Pro?

No. It's listed for the iPhone 12 Pro Max only.
