Details

The first Retina 5K iMacs (A1419, 2014 to 2015) marked a big jump in screen sharpness, and many are still in use for photo work, office tasks and family computers. A cracked panel or a display full of lines is usually worth repairing rather than replacing the whole computer.

This aftermarket LCD screen display assembly fits the iMac 27-inch A1419 5K models from 2014 to 2015, in S+ Grade.

When the panel needs replacing

Cracks from an impact, vertical lines, dark patches, uneven backlight and a black screen while the iMac still runs are the typical reasons. Connect an external monitor to confirm the computer is healthy before ordering.

A1419 is also used by the older 2K iMacs from 2012 and 2013, which take a different panel, so confirm the year in About This Mac. The glass and panel are bonded together and fixed with adhesive, so have new display adhesive ready.

Unplug the iMac before opening it, test the new panel before bonding it, and the machine is ready for more years of service.
