MacBook Pro 13" LCD Display Assembly (A1989, A2159, A2289, A2251)

Got a 13-inch MacBook Pro from 2018 to 2020 with a cracked screen or lines across the display? Picking the right part for this era can feel confusing, because Apple used four different model numbers. This one assembly is listed for all four: A1989, A2159, A2289 and A2251.

It's an aftermarket LCD screen display assembly in S+ Grade, available in Silver or Space Grey to match your lid.

Signs the 2018–2020 MacBook Pro panel has failed

• A cracked screen, often after the lid was closed on something.

• Lines, color bands or dark spots that don't move.

• A backlight that flickers or switches off at certain lid angles.

• A black screen while an external monitor shows a normal picture.

You'll find the model number printed on the bottom of the laptop, next to the regulatory text. If it matches one of the four, this is the right part.

The display is a technician job, as the battery needs to be disconnected first and the hinge screws and cables handled carefully. Once fitted, your MacBook Pro has a clear, crack-free screen again.
