Most Galaxy Z Fold 3 owners do quick tasks on the narrow cover screen: calls, messages, maps on the go. It's the screen in use whenever the phone is closed, and it's the one exposed when the phone lands face-down.

This outer OLED assembly is the complete cover screen for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G, sold as an aftermarket part in one option.

When to swap the cover screen

Replace it when the glass is cracked or shattered, when the cover screen shows lines, black patches or flicker after a drop, when it stays dark while the inner screen works, or when touch has stopped responding. If only the glass is cracked and the picture is perfect, glass-only refurbishing is an option for equipped shops.

The cover screen is bonded to the frame, so it comes off with gentle heat and thin picks, and the new one goes on with fresh adhesive. Test display and touch before pressing it down, and keep picks shallow near the flex cable.

With a new cover screen, the Fold 3 is quick to use one-handed again.
