How to choose a screwdriver

  • Bit types. Make sure the set covers Pentalobe, Tri-point, Phillips and Torx in phone sizes (e.g. Pentalobe 0.8 mm, Phillips 1.2/1.5 mm).

  • Torque control. Torque screwdrivers (e.g. 2UUL KAKA) limit the force and protect tiny screw threads.

  • Bit quality. Hard, precisely machined tips last longer and slip less.

  • Electric screwdrivers speed up high-volume work.

FAQ

What is a Pentalobe screwdriver?

A five-point screwdriver used for Apple's Pentalobe screws, e.g. the bottom screws next to the iPhone charging port (0.8 mm).

Why use a torque screwdriver?

It limits the tightening force so small screws aren't over-tightened or stripped, and it protects the threads in the frame.

How do I remove a stripped screw?

Use a stripped-screw extractor bit, such as the LUOWEI LW-331 drill bit set, at low speed.
