The Galaxy Z Fold 6 got a wider cover screen than earlier Folds, which makes it more comfortable for typing with the phone closed. More glass on the outside also means more to break when it's dropped.

This outer OLED assembly is the cover screen panel for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 5G, without a frame. It's sold as an aftermarket part.

Typical reasons to replace it

Replace it when the glass is cracked, when the OLED shows lines or dark areas after an impact, when the cover screen stays black while the inner screen works, or when touch fails. A lifting edge that lets in dust is another reason.

Since there's no frame, the new panel is bonded to your phone's existing frame. Remove the old screen with gentle heat and thin picks, clean off every trace of old adhesive, and fit fresh adhesive. Test before pressing the panel down.

With a new cover screen, the Fold 6 is easy to use closed again for calls, messages and quick replies.
