Checks before ordering:

Calibrate the gimbal on a level surface.
Try the horizon adjustment in DJI Fly; if it can't correct the tilt, suspect hardware.
Inspect the roll arm lower bracket for bends, which cause the same symptom.
With the drone off, feel the roll axis for grit or stiffness.

Fitting the motor

Work over a tray and keep the thin flex cables free of strain. Keep the lens covered while the gimbal is apart.

Calibrate again after fitting and film test clips in both horizontal and vertical modes, checking the horizon in each. The roll arm lower bracket is sold separately, and it's a much cheaper part to replace if the bracket turns out to be bent.
