Check your model

The Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro have different shells. A Mini 3 Pro upper shell is listed separately. Confirm your model before ordering; if in doubt, compare the shell shape in the photos with your own drone.

Photograph cable routes before lifting the old shell, and avoid pinching wires as the new one goes on. Check that the shell sits flush all round, then power on, confirm a GPS lock and hover briefly to make sure everything works normally. A refreshed top shell is also a good moment to clean dust from inside the body with a soft brush, avoiding the boards' connectors.
