The Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro weigh so little that a hard landing rarely breaks much, but water, a bent arm or a short circuit can still take out the board that drives the motors. When that happens, a replacement ESC board is a modest-cost way to get the drone flying again.

Before you fit it

Check the motor wires where the arms fold, since a broken wire looks like an ESC fault. With the battery removed, photograph each connection, transfer the board carefully and inspect solder joints. Test the motors without propellers before a low hover.
