DJI Air 2S ESC Mainboard

An Air 2S that won't lift off, or that powers its motors unevenly and throws ESC errors, often needs nothing more than a new ESC board. At about thirty dollars it's one of the cheaper electronic repairs on this drone, provided the diagnosis is right.

This ESC mainboard is listed for the DJI Air 2S. It regulates power delivery to the brushless motors and passes commands from the flight controller. The listing names no maker, so we sell it as aftermarket.

Air 2S ESC warning signs

Motors that won't start, run at uneven speeds or cut out, ESC errors at startup and scorch marks on the board after a crash or a wet landing are the usual signs.

Confirm before ordering

Spin each motor by hand to check for grinding, and inspect the arm wiring for breaks. A single bad motor is cheaper to replace than the board. If several motors misbehave together, or a smooth motor still won't start, the ESC is the likely fault.

Fit it with the battery removed, test the motors without propellers, then hover low before a normal flight. Done carefully, it gets the Air 2S flying evenly again without a large bill.
