STPMB0 Iktara Wireless Charging IC for iPhone 11 / 11 Pro / 11 Pro Max

The iPhone 11 moved to a new wireless charging chip, so the Iktara from the iPhone 8 and X won't fit. The STPMB0 is the 112-pin Iktara wireless charging IC listed for the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.

The listing describes it as OEM New Grade. It gives a board position, but we couldn't confirm that position from two repair references, so locate the chip in your board view before you start.

Wireless charging faults

• No response on a Qi pad while cable charging works.

• Wireless charging that keeps stopping.

• Phone heating on the pad without charging.

• Damage after the back glass cracked.

Check the coil before the chip

Try a second pad and remove the case. Inspect the wireless coil and its connection; a cracked back glass often damages the coil, which is far easier to replace than a BGA chip. Check for shorts on the wireless circuit before lifting anything.

The iPhone 11 board is stacked, so separate the layers carefully. Preheat, lift the chip, clean and reball the pads, then fit the replacement on fresh flux. Rejoin the board and test on two different Qi pads, then confirm cable charging still works.
