Details

Sometimes a controller is past saving, or you simply need a second one for local multiplayer. This listing covers a complete black wireless controller for the PS4, described by the seller as a 4.0 version of the DualShock 4 design.

According to the listing, it has a built-in touchpad, vibration motors, a motion sensor and a 3.5 mm audio jack, and it connects by Bluetooth or by cable. The finish is matte black with the familiar ergonomic grip.

When a new controller makes sense

A controller with several worn parts at once, where repair isn't worth it.
A second controller for two-player games.
A spare to use while another one is being repaired.
Replacing a controller that was lost or damaged by liquid.

Getting started

Charge it fully before first use. To pair it, connect it to the PS4 with a USB cable and press the PS button, or follow the console's Bluetooth pairing steps.

Once paired, check the buttons, sticks, touchpad, vibration and headphone jack in a game. If everything responds, it's ready for regular use.
