DJI Air 3 Gimbal Signal Cable

The Air 3 gimbal carries a wide camera and a 3x medium telephoto, and both depend on the signal cable running through the gimbal to reach the main board. When that cable is damaged, the symptoms can look like a failed camera: a black feed, gimbal errors or movement that stops responding.

This gimbal signal flex cable is listed for the DJI Air 3. It carries power and data between the camera, gimbal and main control system. Although made to original specifications per the listing, no manufacturer is identified, so we list it as aftermarket.

Signs the Air 3 signal cable has failed

• Gimbal connection errors in the app.

• Camera signal loss or a black live view.

• Abnormal gimbal movement or a gimbal that won't initialize.

• A torn or creased flex visible at the gimbal arm.

Confirming the fault

If you have access to an Air 3 signal cable test tool, which we also list, use it to check the old cable before ordering. Otherwise inspect the flex closely along the gimbal arm, where most tears happen after crashes.

Route the new cable exactly as the old one ran, without sharp folds, and press each connector until it seats flat. Calibrate the gimbal afterward, and check that both cameras give a stable image while the gimbal moves through its full range.
