Details

On a Galaxy Z Flip 6, the rear cameras do double duty. With the phone closed, the cover screen works as a viewfinder, so many owners take their selfies with the main camera too. When the wide camera fails, the phone loses its best camera for nearly every kind of shot.

This aftermarket wide (main) back camera fits the Galaxy Z Flip 6 (F741). The ultra wide camera is a separate part.

Signs the main camera has failed

The main camera shows a black picture, while the ultra wide still works.
Photos are blurry or won't focus, even with clean, intact lens glass.
The picture shakes or the camera app reports a camera failure.

Check the lens glass first, since a crack there causes haze and is a cheaper repair. Reaching the camera means opening the top half of the phone, which involves heat, picks and new adhesive. Test photo, video and cover screen selfies before final assembly.

With a new main camera, the Flip 6 is back to taking sharp photos, open or closed.

Check the model number (SM-F741) before ordering, since the Flip 5 camera is different.
