DJI Air 2 / Air 2S Battery Shell Housing

A DJI Air 2 or Air 2S battery that took a hard landing can end up with a cracked or deformed outer case while the cells inside still test healthy. Replacing the shell restores the fit in the drone's battery bay, but it's only sensible when the cells and electronics inside are undamaged.

This battery shell housing fits the intelligent flight battery used by the DJI Mavic Air 2 and DJI Air 2S. It's the empty housing only, with no cells or electronics. The listing says it's built to the factory specification, which isn't a statement that it's a DJI part, so we list it as aftermarket.

When a new shell makes sense

• The case is cracked, broken or deformed after a crash.

• Latches are worn and the battery sits loose in the drone.

• The cells are flat, intact and undamaged.

Safety first: never reuse cells that are swollen, punctured or dented. Discharge the pack to a safe storage level before opening it, work on a non-flammable surface, and avoid shorting the cell tabs. After assembly, check that the battery locks firmly into the drone and charges normally.

Done carefully by someone with lithium battery experience, a new shell puts a healthy battery back in the air.
